A) 1. You need to know what kind of used car you are looking for. A lot of people spend too much time just searching around without any real concrete idea of what they want. If you have an idea of what you are looking for, you are off to a great start!
2. You need to find a suitable used car online auction service that provides tech support, an updated database of vehicles for you to choose from, and a service that is fast. The last thing you want is to sit around at a slow car auction site.
3. Upon entering the used car online auction site you will do the following. Simply choose your model, and make of the car you wish to find, and click go! It really is that easy.
4. The used car online auction service will go out to their updated database and find entries which match your query. The results will be displayed on screen and you can choose the used car of your dreams.Where is the nearest Car Auction site to Maidenhead, Berkshire?A) www.honestjohn.co.uk

Car Auction?Q) How do I find car auctions in the Atlanta Ga area? On the internet, all I can find are membership type sites. You join, then they tell you where auctions are. THere has to be a better way! Thanks.
A) You must have a valid dealer's license to attend most auto auctions.
There are some public auto auctions, most of those are actually dealers or wholesales who run the auctions as a sideline.Car Auction???Q) I hear alot about Car Auctions? What's the catch? I hear alot of good cars go for very cheap prices!!! I know there's a catch! What's The catch!!! Im planning to go to one soon that why I ask..
A) There are different kinds of auto auctions.
There are dealer only auctions, where only licensed dealers are allowed to buy or sell cars. There are public auctions, where the public is allowed in. There are also government auctions, where impounded and surplus vehicles are sold. Each have things you have to be careful to watch for.
With dealer auctions, unless you are a licensed dealer, you are not allowed to bid, and in most cases are not even allowed on the property to look. These auctions are for dealers to buy and sell to other dealers.
Public auctions set their own rules. some are absolute auctions, where the high bidder gets the car, no matter what the selling price. Some allow the seller to accept or reject the high bid. Some that are absolute auctions allow the seller to bid on their own vehicles, buying them back if they do not sell for enough money!
You have to understand that most cars that are at public auctions are there for a reason. The majority of vehicles are either consigned by dealers, who for whatever reason do not want to but their name and reputation on the line selling that vehicle on their retail lot, or are cars that were donated to charity. Most of them are "mechanically challanged".
Cars that are at impound auctions usually do not have keys with them, and you generally do not get to even hear them run. Most cars that are impounded and unclaimed have some sort of problem, which makes the owner decide that it is not worth the cost to claim their car!
Check the cars out carefully. Take an experienced mechanic with you if possible. Set a top price you are willing to pay for each vehicle, and be sure to allow for any buyers' fees that will be charged by the auction. Do not get caught up in the bidding, if the price excededs the price you set, STOP!
Be aware that you will most likely have to have some repairs done to the vehicle prior to being able to drive it, so allow for the cost of towing it to a shop or your home!

A) I also want to look at these auctions, but I cant think of any that allow test drives. Is car-auction.com a scam?Q) Has anybody looked into Car-auction.com. Accroding to the site, for a $30 lifetime membership, you get access to "1000's" of car, boat, motorcycle, bus, truck, plane auctions around the world. My question is, has anybody actually heard anything about them. I have done some google/yahoo searches but found nothing...
A) Hello,
The site looks "ok" as in it may not take your money and run. However, I doubt they can give you what you are looking for. These sites, typically, provide you with a list of auctions that are free and you could find them yourselves with the right amount of patience. In other words, they do they leg work, find a few auctions, and sell them to you. Owning a small used car dealership myself, I would never trust anything like this. Online auction cars have a high rate of lemons. Your best bet is to sleep on it for a week or so, and really think about why you would pay for this site. You would be better off doing the research and finding cars, boats, etc, that you can purchase, go look at, and haggle the price down. If you get some practice at haggling, then you will save lots more money and get a better item than you would on a couple online auctions. A) hello !!! coolchick........ When you ask a Q. like this you need to tell us what city that you live in or near for the best answer...there are car auctions all over the country and most are not open to the public -- only car dealers because of the sales tax.. You can look in the newspaper and find a good deal in a car and probably for less from an individual that wants a new car but doesn't want to trade the car to a dealer..... lots of times if you can bargain you will get a better price ( get someone to help look at a car with you and just find a car you like))) do the money part and the bargain talking by yourself if you and a friend gang up on a seller you will lose the best price--- be nice and save..Car auction priceing HELP!!!?Q) I've been looking at this car for awhile at this auction place and I don't know a lot about the priceing for an auction car. kelley blue book will give you the resale valueCar Auction Help?Q) Are there any good car auction in South Florida or close by... I am looking for a car or suv!
A) car auction's might be a good place to buy a cheap car but unless you know something about auto mechanics id stay away from the auction. I'm a mechanic and ex car salesman so i dealt with auto auctions alot. 75% of the cars are there for a reason. i see new car owners bring their recently bought cheap car from the auction to the garage to have it looked over and end up with 3 to 4 thousand dollars in it just to pass inspection. granite 1 out of 4 people might get a steal from the auction but most of the time not. the drug repo cars that the police steal need put back togther because the majority of the time they rip all the interior out searching for drugs. i mean rip to, they don't take the tI'me to take the screws out holding the door panels on they grab and pull. im not from Florida so i don't know any auctions there but i can just give you a good heads up of what you are getting into.
